Robotics is an engineering interdisciplinary branch, it combines mechanics, electronics, control theory, and computer science. It studies de analysis, design, manufacture and application of automated machines with a certain level of intelligence, capable of performing chores that can replace certain human being activities.
It is an acronym for “Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. STEM is important because it pervades every part of our lives. By exposing students to STEM and giving them opportunities to explore STEM-related concepts, they will develop a passion for it and hopefully pursue a job in this field.
Britt Academy has an innovative robotics curriculum for different age groups depending on their capabilities combining cutting edge technology and science comprehension with an inner emotional consciousness to build an integrated learning frame. Building a prototype teaches our students to solve problems while developing critical thinking.
Kindergarten: At this level, our robotics program is a tool that helps build sequential thinking and reasoning and at the same time enhances fine motor skills and collaboration.
Elementary: In this stage, our curriculum helps to develop in the students the ability to make decisions and reinforces logical and consequential thinking. It allows them to use their imagination and find real solutions to specific problems.
High School: we use the robotics lab to use their knowledge of applied physics, programming and coding to build solutions through interdisciplinary challenges generating practical learning based on concrete actions.
